ABSTRACT
Myelodysplastic/Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Unclassifiable M yelodysplastic/m yeloproliferative neoplasm s, unclassifiable (MDS/
MPN, U) are disorders in which there is at least one myeloid cell line demon strating ineffective hematopoiesis and at least one myeloid cell line with effective hyperproliferation, that does not fit the criteria for any of the previously described MDS/MPNs. The morphology and clinical features vary depending on which cell lines are involved and in what way. The W H O diagnostic criteria for MDS/ MPN, U are given in Table 5.6. The prognosis is variable.
