ABSTRACT
Cancer vaccines are not used routinely in the clinical practice of most oncologists, despite decades of study. Several advances in basic immunology over the last few years have forced a re-evaluation of cancer vaccine development. The most important finding has been that human tumors are immunogenic and the definition of some cancer related proteins that are tumor antigens.
