Reconstruction of the Pelvic Floor and Perineum Pelvic defects may involve the pelvic floor, the perineum, or both. The choice of
reconstruction depends on the relative involvement of each of these structures. Three solutions for flap reconstruction o f these defects are presented in Table 51.2.
