ABSTRACT

IL-10 is a pleiotropic cytokine that is produced by a variety of hematopoietic cells (e.g., CD 4+ T cells, NK cells, macrophages, dendritic cells)1'4 and regulates the function of several adaptive immunity-related cells. Although generally considered an immunosup pressive molecule, IL-10 has been demonstrated to possess immunostimulating properties in several in vitro and in vivo models.
