ABSTRACT
This chapter presents a nonexhaustive survey of the types of subject matter for which patent protection has been sought in the field of molecularly imprinted polymers. First, a brief discussion of patents and their practical significance to corporations and univer sities conducting research and development in this field is provided. Then, examples of issued patents and published patent applications in this field are generally discussed.
