The Internet-A Brief Look at Where to BeginFinding information about cosmetic surgery on the Internet is easy. Finding quality information on the Internet is a bit trickier. In fact, finding too much information on the Internet is, perhaps, the biggest problem. Literally millions of “hits” come up when doing a general search on “cosmetic surgery” or “plastic surgery” using the search feature of two of the major search engines, Internet Explorer and Netscape. Hundreds of thousands of sites can be located on individual procedures such as liposuction and Botox. The amount of information available is absolutely mind-boggling and extremely confusing. In fact, it is so confusing that you may be tempted to simply give up before you really start. The idea of having to wade through thousands of sites can be a real turnoff to continuing your search.
