ABSTRACT

I do not think you can broach the subject of safety training without a dis cussion of the impact of federal safety regulations on safety processes. I know of few, if any, other aspect of organizational operation that has to deal with such required training expectations as those imposed by federal safety regulations. That in itself makes safety a unique entity; yet the real issue is, do these defined training requirements help the organization achieve a safe and healthful workplace free of recognized hazards? Or have they hindered and stifled the creativity and ultimately the performance of the organization? These are the very attributes that an organization must possess if it is to grow and thrive.
