ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION Many environmental professionals are educated as scientists or engineers and have performed in scientific or engineering capacities and not in project management capacities. Recognizing that each environmental study can be viewed as a project, the purpose of this chapter is to impart some fundamentals regarding the management of projects and to describe the most salient points of a management system by which these fundamentals can be applied consistently.
