ABSTRACT

The reader who has understood all of the material covered in Hex Strategy should have the knowledge required to play Hex at a high level. However, this knowledge does not eliminate the complexity of the game-it reduces the effort required to analyze a board position and indicates worthwhile traps or killer moves to be made, but does not provide a solution to Hex. The player prepared to work harder and explore a greater number of possible continuations of play will prevail over a lazy player of equal skill.
