Lubrication theory formulation for viscous currents

Here we consider the prototype thin viscous current which propagates over a horizontal solid boundary. Our main references here are the papers of Huppert (1982) (where other references are also given, in particular Fay 1969; Hoult 1986; Britter 1979) and Didden and Maxworthy (1982).
