ABSTRACT
The primary purpose of this final chapter is to present a simplified and unified approach to retrospective and prospective detection of spatial clustering. In doing so, we wish not only to convey the relationships among the alternative tests but also to provide a relatively straightforward description of the individual tests to facilitate their implementation. The GeoSurveillance software is also structured in much the same way that this chapter is organized. However, as noted at the beginning of the book, the reader should be aware that this is just one of several alternative approaches to the subject.
