ABSTRACT

The Royal College of General Practitioners highlights this part of the curriculum as the area where candidates often seem to do less well, possibly because we don't focus enough of our attention on it in revision (treatment would often be superficial and supportive as they are transferred to the nearest hospital) and possibly because this is an area we deal with infrequently. However, this can be said about a lot of the curriculum, and the point is to become a competent and well-rounded generalist.
