ABSTRACT

This chapter presents that the themed presentation encourages quick, focused study and detailed answers aid comprehension and encourages familiarity with each topic with essential diagrams, colour images and sample MRIs. The CT scan shows an extradural haemorrhage with a hyperdense lenticular-shaped mass situated between the brain and the skull. In this case the patient experienced a typical lucid interval with loss of consciousness at the time of impact before experiencing an altered mental status. The CT scan shows a ring enhancement on the right side of the brain. It is circular in nature with a highly attenuated ringed wall with low attenuation in its centre.
