Dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) is defined as abnormal uterine bleeding in the absence of organic disease ¹ . It usually presents as menorrhagia and affects women’s health both medically and socially. Menorrhagia is defined as a blood loss greater than 80 ml. An irregular and prolonged period is called metrorrhagia.
