ABSTRACT

A 35-year-old gentleman presents to Accident and Emergency (A and E) with haematuria. A renal ultrasound proves unremarkable and he is referred for a renal biopsy. A few hours post procedure he complains of pain over the biopsy site. Abdominal examination reveals tenderness over the right flank. Routine observations demonstrate a blood pressure of 90/55 mmHg and a pulse rate of 120 beats per minute. He undergoes an urgent CT scan. https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781846199608/86c3100a-a262-41e0-896e-606c24034fcb/content/figpg31_1.jpg" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/>
