ABSTRACT
Snellen chart at 6 metres for each eye. Test each eye individually permitting the patient to wear spectacles (if they normally do so). If the vision is abnormal correct any refractory errors by using a pinhole or glasses. Report acuity e.g. 6/6 or 6/60.
