ABSTRACT
The first version of this monograph was edited in Russian language under the title Strength and Fracture of Polymer Films (Khimiya, Moscow, 1999). Since that time, several years have passed. In 2001, this monograph has been translated into English, and this English version was prepared for edition. In 2002, we also prepared the second book under the title Structural and Statistical Kinetics of Fracture of Polymers (Khimiya, Moscow, 2002). This second edition being the refined version of the first monograph presents quite an independent book. This books contains some extra chapters containing analytical and experimental description of the multielement scale effect of strength and lifetime as well as the scatter in experimental data in physical measurements.
