ABSTRACT
The values of strength and lifetime corresponding to the different modes in the distribution curves are referred to as strength or lifetime levels. Therefore, thin polymer films and fibers are characterized by discrete strength and lifetime spectra. This also concerns some other mechanical characteristics, for example, ultimate strain.
