ABSTRACT
Climate change is among the most important sustainability issues facing humankind in the twenty-first century. As discussed in Chapters 2 and 3, there is a growing consensus that the risks posed by climate change will exacerbate many of the other problems that the world currently faces, including water scarcity, poverty, political instability, dwindling natural resources, and loss of biodiversity.1
