ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with vanilla production in East Africa. In East Africa, vanilla production is concentrated around the Lake Victoria basin
and around the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains in the Albertine Rift Valley. Vanilla-producing countries include Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and the Eastern Democratic Republic (DR) of Congo, with Uganda being the main producer.
