ABSTRACT

Operational ampliers (op amps) are highly versatile. They can be used to perform mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, integration, and differentiation. Several electronic circuits, such as ampliers, lters, oscillators, and ip-ops, use operational ampliers as an integral element. In this chapter, the properties of op amps will be discussed. The nonideal characteristics will be explored. The analysis of op amp lters and comparator circuits will be done using both PSPICE and MATLAB® programs.
