ABSTRACT
Lean manufacturing is such a pervasive approach to operating and improving your business that it is often overwhelming for a leader to decide how to get started. All the lean elements and tools seem like good ideas (and they are), but how do you begin? In addition, most leaders who have been around for a while are as concerned about sustaining change once it has been implemented as they are about initiating it. In this final chapter, we will explore how you can initiate lean manufacturing and can sustain it over time. When we have finished, you will understand how you can adapt the practice to your own business and people.
