The Shingo Prize criteria specify two different categories of cultural elements that are essential to successful deployment of lean practices throughout your business. The prize board uses the first, consistent lean enterprise culture, to distinguish lean theories and values that are well understood and utilized throughout the business from lean that is simply being practiced as a few technical capabilities employed within the plant.
