ABSTRACT

Controller design is one of the most important issues in systems and control. The objective of stabilization controller synthesis is to find a controller for a given system such that the resulting closed-loop control system is globally asymptotically (or exponentially) stable. Controller synthesis of T-S fuzzy systems has been well developed based on Lyapunov function approaches. Similar to the case of stability analysis, three of the most often used Lyapunov functions in controller synthesis of T-S fuzzy systems are common, piecewise, and fuzzy quadratic. This chapter presents a number of results of stabilization controller synthesis of T-S fuzzy systems based on those three Lyapunov functions.
