ABSTRACT
The basic mission of law enforcement (LE) is to build partner-• ship with our communities and to leverage that partnership to promote safety, security, and prosperity within our communities and organization. Every LE contact with a community member • will build, support, and promote OR destroy, oppose, and undermine both missions. When officers use force, which they will, it should be the pinnacle of • righteous behavior. It should be devoid of improper hesitation, and contain all the professionalism, skill, and vigor the officer is capable of producing. Please do not see the use of kinetic force as the only or preferable tactic to subdue an opponent.
