ABSTRACT

Most of us are part of a culture that has conditioned us to look out for number one. Our entire society is structured to support the assertion that you have to be self-interested if you are going to “get ahead.” There seems to be one thing that almost all people have in common: we want more. More money, more power, more control. We want to feel secure in the notion that we are the masters of our own destiny. We seek to control as many outcomes as possible. The irony is we are not in control. We are all subject to the timeless principles that govern the world. When we learn to align our behaviors with these principles, it is only then that we have some measure of control over our lives.
