ABSTRACT
The long list of disciplines covered by soft computing includes the very exciting and prominent field of biomedical systems. Here soft computing collaborates with the discipline of medical science to lay the foundations of biomedical engineering, extending its fruits and solving many problems prevalent into the domain of medicine or medical technologies. In this chapter and the chapter to follow, we study the various diseases and develop systems that detect these diseases.
