ABSTRACT
Soft computing can never be restricted into a small set of applications or systems. It is an immensely vast field that spans numerous areas and spheres. It covers almost all sections of industry and society that you can possibly imagine. Soft computing has already dominated major application areas and is growing tremendously over all areas. Character recognition, picture learning, and robotics form a small part of the numerous possibilities that soft computing holds. The areas are numerous; the applicability is immense. The ways to apply soft-computing techniques are likewise numerous. This unfolds huge opportunities and potentials in this field that bring people from all domains to contribute in their own way to soft computing.
