ABSTRACT

Nursing IT systems, as various other computerized systems, have been implemented in health care providers to aid daily nursing work. As with the implementation of other computerized systems in different industries, it is critical to understand and improve nurses' acceptance of these IT innovations to optimize utility. However, due to the unique features of nursing work system, general IT acceptance models need to be modified and extended to fit this complex environment. Also, individual factors in most IT acceptance studies are limited to basic demographic factors which may not be strong enough to directly reflect individual differences. In this study, we adopt the concept of emotional intelligence into classic IT acceptance model in

individual factor, is proposed to reflect nursing work features on IT acceptance.
