ABSTRACT
Ensuring safe medical usage is one of the keys to preventing medicine-related accidents. With this in mind, there have been efforts to avoid medicines whose name or visual packaging appearance is similar to others: namely in terms of the naming, design and/or adoption of medicines. However, such countermeasures remain insufficient, since medicine-related accidents are still occurring.
