Selling human factors and ergonomics in a successful way: Creating enthusiasm for ergonomics

Several studies mention success factors in ergonomic projects to anive at better comfort, health and productivity (Koningsveld et al. 2005; Looze et al. 2001, Molen et al., 2005(1)). The literature indicates success factors like (1) setting a clear goal in terms of shareholder value and productivity, (2) active participation of end-users and management and (3) a process with a clear inventory of the problems, a structured approach, real tests and a steering group responsible for the guidance and end-users. These three points will be elaborated in this paper as it is the basics of the tutorial.
