ABSTRACT
Many manufacturing processes in woodworking industry includes handling, lifting, monotonous and lasting arm movements, compulsory work positions, a.o. All of mentioned risk factors influences not only workers health, but also company's productivity. Woodworking is one of leading industries in Latvia. This work aimed to investigate how woodworking company's manufacturing process improvement reduces ergonomics risks at the workplaces. Results show that Ergonomics solutions improves woodworking manufacturing processes and employees work conditions in long-term. Besides complex approach of combining process management with ergonomics solutions can provide preventive activities for improving organization production and establishing safe and healthy work conditions.
