ABSTRACT
Analysis of work activities is one of the pillars of system safety in the process industry. Their purpose is to determine the cunent status of implementation of individual work operations and verify compliance with the prescribed working pattern and work instructions. It turns out that deficiencies on the level of control documentation, especially in the description of implementation of subtasks still endure even in companies with a high level of system safety and safety culture. Many inconsistencies of prescribed requirements and real process of work activities. can be discovered for a detailed view. Mentioned inconsistencies can be revealed by using Hierarchical Task Analysis (HTA), which is well known from perform of human reliability analysis. Although this method is simple, it is also time-consuming. Accordingly to simplify its use in operational practice, we developed a software tool that simplifies its application. The purpose of this article is to introduce the instrument ,HTA module" and to demonstrate the possibilities of its practical use.
