ABSTRACT

Visual search tasks are widely applied in the fields of industry, military, medicine and daily life. The paper describes the present research results in the field of visual search tasks of multiple targets. An experiment measuring the performance of a triple-target visual search task was conducted here. According to the result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the search strategy is random not systematic. We also find that the search time for the second and third targets are conspicuous shorter than the theoretical ones. The target independence on random visual search tasks of multiple targets is discussed.
