ABSTRACT

In this chapter we come still another step closer to practical galvanomagnetic devices: we shall study Hall effect devices made to be used as magnetic field sensors. Moreover, we now take seriously into consideration real material properties and fabrication technology of the devices. This will force us to look into the consequences of non-idealities in device shape and of parasitic effects; on the other side, this will also give us the chance to discuss some ingenious realizations of practical Hall magnetic sensors.
