ABSTRACT
The scope of this chapter covers only a short overview on mainly instrumental analytical methods of practical relevance to the analysis of detergents. In addition to a summary of the important basic principles of measurement and instrumentation, the text tries to refer to suitable applications of analytical methods. The interested reader will find more detailed descriptions of the fundamentals and applications of analytical techniques in numerous textbooks of analytical chemistry (for instance in Refs. [1-3]).
