ABSTRACT
Lead is aweakmetal that is unable to support its ownweight; therefore, alloys
have been developed to improve its physical and mechanical properties.
Chemical lead is lead with traces of copper and silver left in from the
original ore. It is not economical to recover the copper and silver. The copper
content is believed to improve the general corrosion resistance and to
add stiffness.
