ABSTRACT

Scrum is not a method. It is not a process. It is a framework made of practices and-most important-concepts. Most of this book is not about rules or “the only way to do things.” œis book and the advice in it are about practical answers to common problems. I do not expect that what you have read in the previous chapters and what you may read in the upcoming chapters will solve every problem that you experience. I do not expect that even the answers documented will perfectly and completely solve a particular problem you are having. What I do expect is that, as you read this book, you will begin to understand the concepts and principles on which Scrum and agile development have been created. Having gained that understanding, my hope is that the answers contained in this book will give you the clues that you need to solve the problems that you will experience.
