Another view of the Release Backlog has it as a completely separate list from the Product Backlog. In this arrangement, the Product Backlog is still a list of everything that Product Owner wants to do to the product until a backlog item is speci‹cally allocated to a release. œen, the backlog item is moved from the Product Backlog to the proper Release Backlog. Several Release Backlogs could be maintained at the same time, allowing for the building of one release, while simultaneously planning multiple future releases (Figure 14.2).
