ABSTRACT

Hospitals and local health systems can represent a challenge for a firm considering an on-site strategy. They contain all of the elements necessary for a program to be constructed but most of the parts are in disarray. Few hospitals have developed systems that emulate what an employer might need to fashion the type of programming described in this text, but most health systems could, if they had the political will and the vision to do so. The problem for a firm is to differentiate the healthcare system with which they are working as one that can contribute and complement their program or as one that needs to be dealt with on an arm’s length basis.
