ABSTRACT
There is always the temptation for a firm to use local physicians and other community-based healthcare resources in the implementation of an on-site clinic program. It just seems to make sense because there is a built-in political advantage and the local doctors may already be seeing some of the employees and dependents for their medical care. Also, this approach allows a program to move forward without contracting outside vendors or engaging in any recruiting efforts.
