Many price lists are available for comparison, but they do not reference significant discounts that bulk purchasers and high-volume purchasers are offered. Mail-order supplies are also priced differently as are program drugs in certain categories of care. Pharmaceutical products can be bundled with other purchases, and there can be stratified pricing if there are many categories of patients under the care of an organization. Another challenge is raised when different classes of patients working for the same employer, using the same clinic site, and taking the same drug, get that drug dispensed at different prices.
