ABSTRACT
The secondary function of any gaming security officer is to protect the assets of the entity he or she is employed by. It is important to understand that the protection of people (guests and employees) is the first priority in a gaming property and asset protection is the second priority. When confronted with a choice between assets and people, the gaming security officer should always protect life and safety before property.
