ABSTRACT

Once a security professional understands the concept of the legal duties a casino has to its patrons, it becomes clear that something must be done to keep undesirable persons, especially those who have historically created problems, from coming back (Figure 15.1). There is a well-established procedure or common practice followed for decades in the gaming industry. That process is designed to ban the person from coming back to the property. This proactive procedure is commonly known as the trespass or eighty-sixing process.
