ABSTRACT
A security department cannot be managed from a desk by merely delegating tasks (Figure 21.1). The gaming security professional is always on the move and is highly visible to the security staff, employee population, and management. The motivated manager will seek out department heads and communicate with them on a regular basis. He or she will be approachable and professional and have the confidence of the security staff and the employee population of the facility.
