ABSTRACT
In the past few years, the transmission of images between healthcare institutions has begun to integrate with PACS, which has traditionally been handling image acquisition, management, and transmission within a single enterprise. Today, the lines between healthcare institutions are blurred as these institutions begin to establish links to their affi liated hospitals and clinics.
