ABSTRACT
System hardening is the process by which you securely confi gure a system to protect it from unauthorized access. System hardening is necessary in any system that has a range of confi guration options and is viable in any system that has enough security measures to make them suitable for usage in security-oriented environments. Oracle database falls into both of these categories.
