ABSTRACT
The success of quantum well structures for infrared detection applications has stimulated the development of quantum dot infrared photodetectors (QDIPs). In general, QDIPs are similar to QWIPs but with the quantum wells replaced by quantum dots (QDs), which have size connement in all spatial directions.
