ABSTRACT
India, as a developing nation and a member of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), is obliged to comply with all the requirements of the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property (TRIPS) agreement. Signi–cant progress has been made by way of introducing new legislation and also through amendments to existing IPR Laws (Ganguli 1999 and 2003).
