Seeing Virginia Mason with Fresh Eyes Newcomers to Virginia Mason, especially those with long experience at other medical centers, have a telling perspective. Kate Reed, RN, Jim Cote, and Michael Ondracek are all relatively new to their administrative roles at Virginia Mason. All three have extensive experience working at other major medical centers-including some of the most prestigious in the country. Ondracek came to Virginia Mason from a prominent medical center in the Paci…c Northwest, and Reed and Cote came from Harvard teaching hospitals in Boston.
